Nick Jr. Live! "Move To The Music" U.S. Theatrical Tour To Debut Fall 2019
Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group, Part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, Present First Live Entertainment Stage Show of Expanded 5-Year Deal
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 27, 2019 -- Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group, part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, today announced the U.S. debut of the live theatrical production Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music." The brand-new musical spectacular will feature, for the first time ever on one stage, characters from multiple hit Nickelodeon preschool animated series, including Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment), Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, Blue's Clues & You! (premiering in November 2019), Blaze and the Monster Machines and Top Wing. Exclusive ticket pre-sale opportunities will be available to fan club subscribers beginning Wednesday, March 6, and tickets are available to the general public beginning Friday, March 15. Audiences can sign up for the fan club at http://nickjrlive.com where they will also have access to exclusive tour updates and ticket notifications for their city.
Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music" marks the first of several productions to debut as part of an exclusive live theatrical touring partnership between Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group. The partnership includes collaboration on several Nickelodeon intellectual properties to deliver new theatrical touring productions over the course of the exclusive 5-year deal. The relationship between the family entertainment brands kicked off in 2016 with the co-production of PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue," the first-ever live stage show based on Nickelodeon's top-rated preschool series, PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment). Since that time, the two have added PAW Patrol Live! "The Great Pirate Adventure" and Bubble Guppies Live! "Ready to Rock" to the growing list of production collaborations. Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music" follows Dora and her PAW co-hosts, Marshall and Rubble, as they invite their Nick Jr. friends to come together for a one-of-a-kind music-filled production. Bubble Guppies' Molly and Gil, Rod and Penny from Top Wing, Shimmer and Shine, and even Blue from the new Blue's Clues &You! are throwing a Nick Jr. celebration. The show will transport audiences to familiar Nick Jr. locations, including Bubbletucky and Zahramay Falls, and includes two acts, along with an intermission. The unforgettable musical adventure will feature live appearances, special on-screen guests and audience participation to engage the whole family.
With innovative costuming and a Broadway-style set, Nick Jr. Live! is a perfect way to introduce theater to young children. The show is split into two acts with an intermission and will include original music as well as familiar tunes from Nick Jr. shows. A limited number of V.I.P. packages are available for each performance and feature premium show seating, VIP merchandise item, an exclusive photo opportunity with Blaze from Blaze and the Monster Machines, as well as a post-show Meet & Greet party with Dora the Explorer and Rubble from PAW Patrol.

VStar CEO Eric Grilly said that the deal started to come to fruition about a year ago and that the deal was signed last fall. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sharon Cohen, executive vice president of the Nickelodeon Experience, said the producing partnership between the two companies for specific projects has morphed into a strategic partnership “because it felt like it was time to solidify the partnership and have in place the blueprint to launch more shows.”
Her division, which aggregates all of Nickelodeon’s intellectual property, was created two years ago and has a 30-member staff. Other Nickelodeon shows include “Double Dare Live” and the SpongeBob SquarePants musical.
Creating “Move to the Music” “was a very collaborative process,” Grilly said. “We looked at how their IP was performing on social media platforms, linear platforms, consumer-product platforms, B2B platforms, and we assessed the cultural relevance and made decisions based on those and other factors.”
Cohen expects the target audience for “Move to the Music” to be preschoolers and their parents. She also expects the road going forward will be a “true collaboration between the two companies. VStar is a fabulous partner and we recognize VStar’s knowledge in creating live theatricals.”
Grilly expects the tour to have cast of 10-12, which is in line with the existing PAW Patrol shows and will need three trucks. Music will be a combination of original music and music from the various Nickelodeon series that the characters populate. The music will be tracked.
The strength of Nickelodeon’s global business is the primary reason VStar was keen on upping the partnership; Nickelodeon’s rich, deep archive of content was another; and the success of their working relationship led VStar to want to strengthen it as well.
VStar was acquired by Cirque du Soleil in 2018. Non-Nickelodeon tours include Cirque Dreams and Discover the Dinosaurs: Time Trek. Previous VStar (formerly VEE Corp.) was the home of the Sesame Street Live and Barney franchises.
“VStar being bought by Cirque makes them that much more of a compelling partner for us,” Cohen said. “They’ve added additional capabilities.”
Cohen anticipates “many more productions over the five years of the umbrella deal.”
Tour dates and the venues that “Move to the Music” will play are still being determined.

Viacom Brazil (Brasil) has announced all the exciting new Nickelodeon merchandise that Viacom/Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP) will be showcasing at ABRIN 2019, the largest toy fair in Latin America, which will take place between Monday 18th - Thursday 21st March 2019 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo! Among the lines being showcased at ABRIN 2019 will be new consumer products inspired by Nickelodeon Slime, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol, Sunny Day and Top Wing.

‘Slime Nickelodeon’, ‘O Despertar das Tartarugas Ninja’, ‘Sunny Day’ e ‘Top Wing’ são as grandes novidades em brinquedos. ‘Patrulha Canina’ também apresenta novos itens e temas
Sunny Brinquedos, Estrela, Hasbro, Bambola, Barão, Brasil Flex, Cotiplas, Dican, DTC, Elka, Grow, Lider, Mattel, Sulamericana, Toyng e Yangzi são alguns dos parceiros licenciados presentes na feira
A Viacom Brasil, distribuidora do canal Nickelodeon, marca presença na ABRIN, a maior feira de brinquedos da América Latina, entre os dias 18 a 21 de março, no Expo Center Norte, em São Paulo. Por meio do seu departamento de Consumer Products, a marca apresenta lançamentos de sua extensa linha de produtos licenciados.
Dentre os destaques, a Nick traz, como criadora da famosa “meleca verde” há 35 anos, o Nickelodeon Slime, em parceria com a Asca Toys. Além disso, pela primeira vez, chega ao Brasil a linha de produtos com o novo traçado de ‘O Despertar das Tartarugas Ninja’, linha de brinquedos da Playmates distribuída pela Sunny Brinquedos. Também pela Sunny Brinquedos, novos itens do sucesso mundial Patrulha Canina chegam ao mercado com a temática “Resgate Extremo”. Outros dois grandes lançamentos da Nickelodeon na categoria de brinquedos são as novas marcas pré-escolares Sunny Day e Top Wing, em parceria com a Estrela e com a Hasbro.
Referência mundial em entretenimento para crianças, a Nickelodeon investe constantemente em sua área de Consumer Products, licenciando personagens que fazem sucesso com a garotada e que inspiram produtos criados para pré-escolares, crianças, adolescentes e adultos. A empresa tem se firmado como referência em marcas para crianças em idade pré-escolar, com enfoque no aprendizado divertido.

‘NICKELODEON SLIME’
Slime é o símbolo máximo da bagunça livre e divertida. Desde os anos 80, todo o conteúdo da Nick está totalmente conectado ao slime. Essa meleca verde surgiu em 1982, no programa Can´t Do That on Television e quatro anos depois, o game show Double Dare, popular na Nick nos anos 80, trouxe pela primeira vez desafios e provas cheias de slime.
Alinhada com a febre que atingiu as crianças no último ano, a Nick, como criadora da “meleca” licenciou seu produto junto a Asca Toys. São seis cores de massa em tons vibrantes, atraentes e convidativos à experimentação e à brincadeira. A massa apresenta excelente textura e elasticidade, que permitem a total exploração dos efeitos físicos e sonoros no momento da manipulação, tornando a brincadeira criativa, divertida, estimulante e desafiadora. Cada cor traz consigo um aroma (cheiro) de fruta, que confere um caráter especial e único a cada uma das cores apresentadas.
‘O DESPERTAR DAS TARTARUGAS NINJA’
Com um visual totalmente repaginado, os personagens estão com novos traços e características, com mais ação e dinamismo. A reinvenção e a flexibilidade fazem parte do DNA de ‘As Tartarugas Ninja’, propriedade clássica e global da Nickelodeon, que completa 35 anos em 2019. Considerado um dos programas mais populares dos anos 80, ‘As Tartarugas Ninja’ estreou em forma de quadrinhos e, em seguida, tornou-se um grande sucesso na TV, além de uma marca global de produtos licenciados.
