Nickelodeon's new animated preschool series, Butterbean’s Café
Preschoolers will be whisked away on magical culinary adventures in Nickelodeon’s brand-new CG-animated series, Butterbean’s Café, premiering Monday 25th February 2019 at 8:30am (AEST) on Nick Jr. Australia! Following launch, new episodes of Butterbean’s Café will air regularly weekdays at 8:30am (AEST) on the Nick Jr. channel in Australia.
Created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt (Bubble Guppies), Butterbean’s Café, the series (40 episodes) centres on a fairy named Butterbean and her adventures running her neighborhood café and bakery, and showcases creative cooking and features a curriculum with social-emotional lessons that highlight kindness and gratitude, and leadership skills.
In the series, Butterbean, her fairy friends--Dazzle, Poppy and Jasper --and her little sister Cricket take pride in serving up healthy snacks and sweet treats to the residents in their community of Puddlebrook. Butterbean’s special magic beans, the fairies’ enchanted kitchen tools and the team’s can-do spirit all combine to make their cafe the most awesome eatery in town.
In Butterbean’s Café’s series premiere, "Grandma Nana Banana Bread!"; "Lots and Lots of Lemons!", Dazzle wants to surprise her grandma by making her banana bread recipe, but she can't remember the last ingredient; Then later, when Ms. Marmalady switches Jasper's fruit order with a lemon delivery, he's in for a sour surprise!

Butterbean’s Café made its world debut on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Monday 12th November 2018, where it became Nickelodeon's highest-rated preschool series debut since the 2013 launch of PAW Patrol, posting double-digit year-over-year gains and averaging a 4.6/456,000 with Kids 2-5 (+27%). The new episode (1 p.m. [ET/PT]) also drew 1.3 million total viewers (+55%). The will be rolling out on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks throughout 2019.
The US-English dub of Butterbean’s Café features the voice talent of Margaret Ying Drake as Butterbean, Olivia Grace Manning as Dazzle, Kirrilee Berger as Poppy, Koda Gursoy as Jasper, Gabriella Pizzolo as Cricket, and Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black) as Ms. Marmalady, and features guest voice appearances by top celebrity chefs and culinary experts, including Richard Blais (Top Chef, Guy’s Grocery Games), Alton Brown (Good Eats, Iron Chef America), Carla Hall (The Chew, Top Chef), Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), Giada De Laurentiis (Giada at Home) and Rachael Ray (The Rachael Ray Show).

FOR ALL-NEW “PADDINGTON” TELEVISION SERIES
BEN WHISHAW RETURNS AS BELOVED VOICE OF PADDINGTON
FIRST LOOK IMAGE REVEALED
PARIS/LONDON – FEB. 14 2019 – STUDIOCANAL, Nickelodeon and award-winning producer David Heyman today announced a global deal for a brand-new “Paddington” (working title) television series for preschoolers. Actor Ben Whishaw (Paddington 1 & 2) will reprise his role as the beloved voice of the title character in the new CG-animated series, which follows the adventures of a younger Paddington. “Paddington” will air on Nickelodeon’s networks worldwide in 2020, while local broadcast partners will be secured in France, Canada, China and Japan.
Fully animated in 3D, the new “Paddington” series sees a younger Paddington writing to Aunt Lucy from Windsor Gardens. Each episode will open and close with Paddington’s letters as he tells Aunt Lucy what he has learned about life through the day’s new exciting adventure. The series will invite a new generation of fans into Paddington’s world full of heart, kindness, slapstick humour, fun and generosity.
Currently in production, “Paddington” is a Heyday Films and STUDIOCANAL production in association with Copyrights. “Paddington” is helmed by Adam Shaw of Blue Zoo (Go Jetters, Digby Dragon, Miffy, Q Pootle 5), and developed for television and written by Jon Foster and James Lamont (The Amazing World of Gumball, Cuckoo, Paddington1 & 2).
The much-anticipated “Paddington” television series will be produced by multi- award-winning David Heyman (producer of all eight of the Harry Potter films, Gravity, Paddington 1 & 2), Karen Davidsen (formerly with Disney and HIT Entertainment) and Simon Quinn (Isle of Dogs, Fantastic Mr. Fox). The series is executive produced by Rosie Alison (Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Paddington 1 & 2) and co-produced by Rob Silva.
Executive Producer David Heyman comments: “It is a joy to bring this uniquely life-enhancing bear to a whole new audience of younger children. We are thrilled that the inimitably brilliant Ben Whishaw will continue to voice Paddington. And we are excited to be collaborating with the vibrant and dynamic animation team at Blue Zoo, working from scripts by the wonderfully talented screenwriting team Foster and Lamont. With producers Karen Davidsen and Simon Quinn, we’re all set for a glorious new chapter for Paddington.”

For 60 years, British-born writer Michael Bond has delighted children and families all over the world with his stories about Paddington, the bear from Darkest Peru famous for his love of marmalade. Nickelodeon has secured a global deal with STUDIOCANAL and award-winning producer David Heyman for a brand-new Paddington series for preschoolers!
Actor Ben Whishaw will reprise his role from the Paddington feature films as the voice of the beloved bear in the CGI-animated series, set for a 2020 premiere. It will air on Nickelodeon’s networks worldwide, with local broadcast partners to be secured in France, Canada, China and Japan.
It is a Heyday Films and STUDIOCANAL production in association with Copyrights. The series is helmed by Adam Shaw of Blue Zoo (Digby Dragon, Miffy, Go Jetters, Q Pootle 5), and developed for television and written by Jon Foster and James Lamont (The Amazing World of Gumball, Cuckoo, Paddington 1 & 2).

Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Switzerland (Schweiz) and Austria (Österreich) will premiere Cousins For Life, Nickelodeon's all-new buddy comedy series, on Monday 25th March 2019! The live-action series follows 12-year-old cousins and best friends Stuart (Dallas Dupree Young) and Ivy (Scarlet Spencer) as they learn to navigate life under one roof with their families in Portland, despite being from very different backgrounds. Although the cousins don’t always see eye-to-eye, they learn that they are better together, and when they team up they are unstoppable.
Cousins For Life will air weekdays at 17:50 Uhr on Nickelodeon Schweiz) and Nickelodeon Österreich and at 18:00 Uhr on Nickelodeon Deutschland.
In the premiere episode, "Movin' In" (#101; locally titled "Der Einzug"), Ivy and Stuart’s life is disrupted after their dads, Clark (Ishmel Sahid) and Lewis (Ron G.), have a disagreement and Clark ends up moving into their hangout space in the garage. It’s now their missions to resolve their dads’ argument and reclaim their space. The episode also stars Micah Abbey as Ivy’s brother Leaf, who’s always having a good time when he’s with his pet pig, Arthur (Sally Sue).

In Lucky the Leprechaun, unlucky leprechaun Happy McSweeney is in for the adventure of a lifetime when he and his friends set out on a daring mission to retrieve the pot of gold that was stolen by the evil Houlihan from the McSweeney family years ago. Can Happy get his family luck back?
The movie is expected to premiere on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks across 170+ countries and territories around the same time, including on Nickelodeon Australia & New Zealand on Friday 15th March 2019 and on Nicktoons Africa on Thursday 22nd March 2019.
Lucky is produced at Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California. The film went into production in Fall 2016.
To celebrate the release, Nickelodeon has partnered with Random House Books for Young Readers to release a tie-in book inspired by the movie. Titled Lucky: The Adventures of the Unluckiest Leprechaun, the hardcover book is written by author Bart Coughlin and features illustrations by illustrator Leticia Lacy. Boys and girls ages 3 to 7 will love this beautifully illustrated hardcover Big Golden Book that's based on the television movie. Nickelodeon Russia (Россия) will premiere the brand-new CG-animated preschool series 44 Cats on Monday 18th February 2019! Created and directed by Iginio Straffi, the founder of Italian content powerhouse Rainbow Group, the makers of Winx Club and Regal Academy, and produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, Nickelodeon will air two new episodes of 44 Cats, locally titled 44 котёнка, everyday, at 8:25am MCK and 8:35am MCK respectively.
Set in the world of animals, 44 Cats (52 eps x c. 13') follows the daily adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou, and Meatball – four adorable kittens who are part of a music band named The Buffycats (Кис-кис-коты).
The protagonists live and play in the Clubhouse, a garage beside old Granny Pina’s house. Their adventures explore the themes of friendship and altruism: the four cats love helping others and always find creative solutions to everyday hitches and help other cats in need. The series promotes positive attitudes and conveys educational messages dealing with important themes such as tolerance, diversity and solidarity in a funny way.
This eagerly anticipated show made its world debut on Rai Yoyo in Italy on Monday 12th November 2018. Nickelodeon International acquired the broadcast rights to the series in May 2018, and will roll the animated series out on Nickelodeon channels and branded blocks around the world, excluding in the U.S. and Latin America, throughout 2019.
44 Cats is inspired by the very popular Italian kids song "44 Gatti", which, in 1968, won the 10th edition of the Zecchino d'Oro and has since entered the collective imagination of Italians.
44 Cats is the first Rainbow Group production jointly developed with Bardel Entertainment, the Canadian animation studio it acquired in 2015, and jointly produced in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, and combines great music and edutainment with high quality animation. The series also marks Rainbow’s (Winx Club (Клуб Винкс), Regal Academy (Королевская Академия), Mia and me, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends) inaugural foray into preschool programming.
Rainbow inked a licensing deal for 44 Cats with Thai Group’s Hong Kong-based company, Toy Plus in August 2018. Under the terms of the agreement, Toy Plus will develop a variety of products including interactive plush, figurines, play sets, musical toys and more based on the music, creative play patterns and collectability featured in the series. The line of merchandise debuted in Hong Kong in October, and is slated to become available for purchase around the world in fall 2019.
Rainbow has also secured a new licensing deal for 44 Cats with holistic lifestyle company Artsana Group. Under the agreement, the company will develop a range of licensed 44 Cats-themed infant educational toys for infants and a nursing line under its Chicco brand, the largest infant brand in Europe. The deal also includes apparel and accessories collections by Prenatal and Chicco. Products are expected to hit retail shelves later this year and will be supported by a dedicated, high-level marketing campaign delivered jointly by Rainbow and Artsana Group, which is also based in Italy.

Котята организуют концерты и собирают своих друзей в клубе-гараже. В каждой серии персонажи изучают родной город и знакомятся со своими соседями. Лампо, Миледи, Пилу и Пончик помогают тем, кто попал в беду, и преодолевают повседневные трудности, сохраняя позитивный настрой.
В премьерном эпизоде «Кис-кис-коты на задании» котята обнаруживают, что из дома бабушки Пины исчезли важные документы. Чтобы вернуть их, герои объединяются в команду и отправляются на поиски таинственного похитителя.
