UK - Join the party in spring 2019 when Entertainment One’s (eOne) beloved preschool series Peppa Pig will be heading back into cinemas nationwide for an all-new big screen adventure to mark the 15 year anniversary of the nation’s favourite little piggy! Set for release from April 2019, Peppa Pig: Festival of Fun is perfectly timed to entertain little ones ahead of the Easter holidays.

The hour-long theatrical release gives preschool audiences 10 brand new and never-before-broadcast episodes featuring a 2-part festival special, complete with new characters and locations. Little piggies can look forward to a whole hour of snorts and giggles with songs to sing along to and dances and movements to join in with; making it the prefect cinema outing for pre-schoolers and all the family to enjoy. Each of the ten brand-new episodes will be connected with never-before-seen interactive entertainment featuring little ones singing and playing along with their favourite onscreen characters.

The new release is part of eOne’s successful My First Cinema Experience format which offers young children a gentle introduction to the cinema for little ones and features the familiar voice talents of Harley Bird (Peppa), Morwenna Banks (Mummy Pig), Richard Ridings (Daddy Pig), Sarah Ann Kennedy (Miss Rabbit) and John Sparkes (narrator).

Peppa Pig My First Cinema Experience took in £3.7 million ($4.7 million) at the U.K. box office in 2017.

Get excited for the upcoming festival season with the release of Peppa Pig: Festival of Fun and join Peppa and George in their brand new ‘oink-tastic’ adventures as they dance in the mud at a children’s festival, celebrate Grandpa Pig’s birthday at a restaurant for the first time, and take a trip to the cinema to see Super Potato’s big movie feature.



Peppa Pig airs on Nick Jr. and Viacom’s Channel 5 Milkshake in the U.K., and on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels globally. No date has been set yet for the new Festival of Fun episodes to run on TV, but the expectation is that they will launch next fall. A DVD and download release will have the new instalments as well as the interactive content.

Peppa Pig is created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker and produced by Astley Baker Davies Ltd and Entertainment One (eOne).

The animated preschool show is one of eOne’s key properties. Last year it announced that 117 new episodes were entering production, which will start airing next year and take the total episode count to 381.

Max & Harvey, TaskerJoe and Simply Luke Get Slimed in Nickelodeon's SLIME-ULATOR at VidCon London 2019 ---ScRaBBlE

This weekend saw the launch of the first-ever VidCon London, and Nickelodeon UK made sure to kick things off in slime-tacular style by bringing along their famous SLIME-ULATOR!

VidCon London 2019 took place between Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th February 2019 at ExCeL London, and was one of the world’s largest events for fans, creators, executives, and brands who are passionate about online video and building diverse communities.

As part of the four day event, the Nickelodeon stand treated attendees with the chance to get an famous Nickelodeon sliming, the ultimate badge of honour! Amongst the many people stepping up to get covered in Nickelodeon's famous gooey substance were internet sensations Max & Harvey, Joe Tasker (aka TaskerJoe) and Simply Luke!

For Simply Luke's sliming, Nickelodeon UK asked its Instagram Stories followers who they would like to see slimed: Simply Luke or George Mason (aka GeorgeMasonTV), with Luke winning with 58% of the vote.

Max and Harvey are no strangers to Nickelodeon's iconic green slime, having been slimed at SLIMEFEST UK 2018 last October.

Nick Jr. UK Launches All-New On-Air Brand Refresh, Reflecting Playfulness And Imagination of Kids’ Lives ---ScRaBBlE

Nick Jr. UK & Ireland, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland's top-performing preschool channel, today, Monday 18th February 2019, launched Nickelodeon's large-scale Nick Jr. brand refresh!

The refreshed on-air look and feel incorporates real kids playing with Nick Jr.’s most iconic preschool characters in both animated and real-world environments. The fresh, bright and colourful on-air presentation is intended to reflect the playfulness and imagination in kids' lives and support on the network's mission of making the world a more playful place. More than 400 deliverables including bumpers, IDs, lower thirds, parent-directed curriculum messages and promo packaging initially rolled out on Monday, May 21, 2018 in the US, and is now being rolled out onto Nick Jr. channels worldwide.

Nick Jr. USA's brand refresh:

The refresh has so far only been rolled out onto the main Nick Jr. channel, with Nick Jr.'s sister channel Nick Jr. Too continuing to use a on-air design based on an older brand refresh. It's currently unknown whether Nick Jr. Too will also adopt the new look.

In additional news, Nick Jr. UK & Ireland will start to premiere brand-new episodes of PAW Patrol, including all-new Ultimate Rescue missions with Rocky and Zoomer, from Monday 18th March 2019!

Nicktoons UK to Host 'The Loud House' Premiere Week & 'Loud Your Family' Competition During February 2019 Half-Term ---ScRaBBlE

International Broadcasters, Including VIMN Start Moving Broadcast Licences Away From The UK ---ScRaBBlE

Update (22/2/2019): It seems that Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) and MTV Networks are preparing for a no deal Brexit, which has become much more of a possibility over the last month thanks to the UK's incompetent leaders on all sides of the political spectrum (I'm looking at you, May and Corbyn).

The Czech Radio Regulator RRTV (Radio and Television Broadcasting Council) has granted MTV Networks satellite licenses for the continued distribution of Nickelodeon UK, Nick Jr. UK, Nick Jr. Too (UK), Nicktoons UK, Comedy Central UK, Comedy Central + 1 (UK), Comedy Central Extra (UK), MTV UK in Ireland, which will remain a member of the European Union (EU). The licenses are valid for 12 years.

At the same time, the Council informs the EU Member State, Ireland that MTV Networks with its Czech license can be broadcast in its territory.

Additionally, RRTV has granted MTV Networks a satellite licence for its MTV Music 24 channel, which will be broadcast in the following countries: Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa. The license is for a music television channel aimed at young people focusing on American and international productions. MTV Music 24 will be broadcast 24 hours a day in English. The license is valid for 12 years.

At the same time, RRTV informs the EU Member States (European Union), ie Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, that MTV Music 24 has a Czech License.

The MTV Networks broadcaster has registered MTV Networks as a satellite broadcaster in Ireland, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Micronesia, Mongolia, Montenegro, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Samoa, Serbia, Singapore , Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, Turkey, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates, where MTV Base, MTV Music, MTV Music, MTV ROCKS, MTV OMG, VH1, MTV Live HD broadcast.

Anticipating Brexit, broadcasters, including Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), 21st Century Fox, and Viceland have started moving their broadcast licences from the UK.

Seeking an alternative, Viacom International Media Networks has obtained licences in The Netherlands for its bouquet of channels aimed at France audiences: Nickelodeon (France), Nickelodeon Junior (France), Nickelodeon Teen (France), MTV (France), MTV Hits (France), BET (France), and Paramount Channel (France). Also, a number of VIMN channels for Denmark now operate under a Dutch licence.

21st Century Fox has also decided to license National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild in Spain, as well as the Dutch language versions of Fox and National Geographic Channel intended for Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. Viceland is now using a Dutch licence for its Dutch and Belgian (Dutch language) channels.

At the moment, more than 750 channels based in Britain and licenced by media regulator Ofcom can currently broadcast throughout the European Union without restriction because Britain is part of the EU’s single market, but this is all set to change after Brexit.

A number of other channel providers with bases in Britain are expected to follow suit, including Discovery, Disney, the Modern Times Group, and Turner Broadcasting.

Pražská společnost MTV Networks může přes satelit vysílat 9 programů s českou licencí. Rozhodl o tom český regulátor médií RRTV (Rada pro rozhlasové a televizní vysílání) na svém posledním čtvrtém zasedání konaném v tomto týdnu.

RRTV udělila MTV Networks satelitní licence pro šíření programů Comedy Central, Comedy Central +1, Comedy Central Extra, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nick Jr. Too, Nicktoons pro šíření programů na území Irska. Licence platí 12 let.

Podle licencí jsou Comedy Central (+1) a Comedy Central Extra všeobecně zábavními programy zaměřené na americkou produkci. MTV je hudebním a zábavním televizním programem pro mládež cílený na americkou a mezinárodní produkci. Nickelodeon a Nicktoons jsou dětské televizní programy zaměřené na americkou produkci. Nick Jr. a Nick Jr. Too jsou stanice zaměřené na americké pořady pro předškolní děti.

Rada zároveň informuje členský stát EU, tj. Irsko, že na jeho území se mohou vysílat programy MTV Networks s českou licencí.

Devátá satelitní licence MTV Networks je pro stanici MTV Music 24. Ta se bude vysílat na území těchto zemí: Rakousko, Chorvatsko, Dánsko, Finsko, Německo, Maďarsko, Izrael, Lotyšsko, Litva, Lucembursko, Malta, Nizozemsko, Norsko, Polsko, Portugalsko, Slovinsko, Španělsko, Švédsko, Švýcarsko, Jihoafrická republika. Podle licence se jedná o hudební televizní program pro mládež se zaměřením na americkou a mezinárodní produkci. Kanál MTV Music 24 bude vysílat 24 hodin denně v angličtině. Licence platí 12 let.

RRTV zároveň informuje členské státy EU (Evropské unie), tj. Rakousko, Chorvatsko, Dánsko, Finsko, Německo, Maďarsko, Lotyšsko, Litva, Lucembursko, Malta, Nizozemsko, Polsko, Portugalsko, Slovinsko, Španělsko a Švédsko, kde se může vysílat program MTV Music 24 s českou licencí.

Regulátor RRTV zároveň zaregistroval společnost MTV Networks jako provozovatele převzatého vysílání šířeného prostřednictvím satelitu a to na území těchto zemí: Irsko, Albánie, Andorra, Rakousko, Bělorusko, Belgie, Bosna a Hercegovina, Bulharsko, Česká republika, Dánsko, Estonsko, Finsko, Německo, Řecko, Maďarsko, Indonésie, Izrael, Kyrgyzstán, Lotyšsko, Litva, Lucembursko, Makedonie, Malajsie, Malta, Mikronésie, Mongolsko, Černá Hora, Myanmar, Nizozemsko, Norsko, Filipíny, Polsko, Portugalsko, Rumunsko, Rusko, Samoa, Srbsko, Singapur, Slovensko, Slovinsko, Španělsko, Švédsko, Švýcarsko, Tchaj-wan, Thajsko, Tonga, Turecko, Ukrajina a Spojené arabské emiráty, kde může šířit stanice MTV Base, MTV Classic, MTV Hits, Club MTV, MTV Music (ROI feed), MTV ROCKS, MTV OMG, VH1, MTV Live HD.

Nick Jr. UK to Premiere New Episodes of 'Becca's Bunch' from Monday 4th March 2019 ---ScRaBBlE

Becca, Russell, Sylvia and Pedro are back in brand-new adventures! Catch brand-new episodes of Becca's Bunch, weekdays at 7:00pm from Monday 4th March 2019, only on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland!

In Wagtail Woods a unique little bird with a big heart called Becca and her bunch of friends are always ready for action! Becca has a innate curiosity and a wonderful way of looking at things. She sees adventure in every situation and as a result often bites off more than she can chew, landing herself and the bunch - Russell, Sylvia and Pedro - in some sticky situations. Thinking on her feet, Becca will urge a generation of kids never to give up, aim high and have big ideas, because once they do every day will be an adventure!

From her quirky dress sense to her hobbies, Becca is a bird like no other and chirps to her own tune. Her can-do attitude allows her big ideas to take flight on the most fantastical adventures with her three best friends. Becca’s infectious enthusiasm encourages her besties, aka The Wild Bunch, to seek out adventure in Wagtail Woods and boldly go where no bird, worm, squirrel and fox have gone before. The Wild Bunch haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on Becca’s list! With unique ideas, heart and positive thinking, the gang always manage to overcome any challenge they encounter in Wagtail Woods.

Becca's Bunch is an exciting entertainment show for preschoolers which merges live action, puppetry and 2D and 3D animation to create a textured world that the audience wants to reach out and touch!



Becca's Bunch (52 x 11') is produced by Dublin-based creative production, distribution and licensing company JAM Media. Nickelodeon acquired the exclusive broadcast rights to the series in the US and Pay TV rights for the rest of the world in October 2016. Becca's Bunch made its debut on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland on Monday 2nd July 2018, and will roll out the series onto Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels around the world in the coming months. In addition, terrestrial broadcasters ABC Australia, CBC Kids (Canada) and France Télévisions (France) have picked up the series for their respective countries.

Talking about the series, Nickelodeon Senior Vice President (SVP) of International Production and Development Nina Hahn says the project was introduced to her and Nick’s Vice President (VP) of Content Acquisitions, Layla Lewis, at a very early stage. And it was love at first sight.

“[JAM Media] showed us the short even before they did the formal pitch into our larger group, which allowed us to give them feedback from multiple different filters on what we wanted to see,” Hahn says. “The content itself had a lot of the DNA of Nickelodeon, from the visual quirkiness, to the way the characters were developed and its strong female lead at the center. It really tapped into the kind of broad, emotional and simple ideas that we like to work with.”

Jam Media, which has studios in both Dublin and Belfast in Northern Ireland, pitched the series at Cartoon Forum in 2013 under the title Early Bird.

The news follows JAM Media naming JAKKS Pacific as the global master toy licensee for Becca’s Bunch. JAKKS has secured the exclusive global rights to produce figurines, playsets and accessories, vehicles, musical instruments, plush (feature and non-feature), every day dress-up, role play, arts & crafts, board games and accessories, Halloween costumes and accessories, outdoor/indoor furniture, wagons, ride-ons, play tents, ball pits, balls and outdoor games, all based on the spritely bird and her group of animal friends. Plush, figurines, musical instruments, vehicles and playsets are planned for a Fall 2019 launch at US retail. JAKKS joins previously signed Becca’s Bunch licensees Candlewick Press, which has taken publishing rights for the US, and Egmont, which is signed on for publishing in the rest of the world. Both companies are planning a Fall 2019 retail launch in key territories.
